Our day started out with some pumpkin carving, a couch removal, and a couch delivery.
First off pumpkin carving. Yes, we waited until the last day to carve our pumpkins. I'm glad we did because it was gorgeous outside and that's where they were carved!! No mess to clean up in the kitchen...YAY!! Alex carved his pumpkin, but he didn't want to clean out the guts....that's the best part! I did get him to do SOME of it. Aric, Lauren, and Madison didn't want anything to do with the carving of the pumpkins : ( All the kids did have fun outside enjoying the warm weather.
Having fun outside before trick or treating.
Be brave. Ewwwwww! End result.
Madison loves her big brother.
Mommy's getting tons of kisses! Lauren & her pumpkin.
While we were outside carving pumpkins, Grammy, Grandpa, Stephen, and William came over with our couch delivery (it was Paul's couch that was downstairs at their house). First thing they all did was to remove the old couch that was in our living room (it was Grammy and Grandpa's old couch). That couch has been a good reliable couch, but we all agreed it's time has come : (
After they moved that couch into the garage, they moved the nice black leather couch into the living room. That couch is SO comfortable!!! I love having the leather couch. It is so easy to clean when the kids make a mess on it. I must admit, I wasn't a big fan of leather with children, but now I think it's the way to go!
Once all the moving was done, it was time to eat a little dinner and get into costumes for trick or treating!!
Madison was a cat, Alex was a ninja, Paul was an alcoholic, Lauren was a witch, Aric was a non action figure, and I was a photographer (haha).
We were getting ready to head out when my sister called me to see if they could join us....absolutely!! So, Elizabeth was Minnie Mouse and Hannah was a ladybug.
I did the best I could to get everyone's eyes looking at me with somewhat of a smile on their faces. I'm hoping it will get better as they get older.
We all had a great time trick or treating until it started raining. Shelly and I decided to go forth with the older kids, but the two younger ones stayed inside with the two dads. It was quite an adventure and we ended the night with some pizza! I hope we can do this again next year ♥
